ATEX Systems
TMS design and supply full ATEX systems for any hazadous environment, our power units use ATEX motors, solenoid valves, pressure switches etc. to cover all classes of ATEX standards. We also offer control systems built to the required standard with documentation and certification provided with the system.
Proportional Systems
Proportional system offer the ultimate in fine, complex and infinately variable control of your system. Used for high accuracy, high speed and multi-purpose applications these systems offer the best in control and programming of multiple jobs. When used with transducer equipped cylinders they create closed loop systems for full direct control of hydraulic actuators to operate the system to exacting levels of accuracy.
Special Press Systems
TMS are well versed in the design of press system, from the use of standard free standing press frames utilised to to meet the product requirement through to fully designed and fabricated frames for any application. The press featured in the images uses 7 50 tonne rear flange mounted cylinders running at 350 BAR to lift a platen for pressing components onto aircraft wings. The heated platen is also controlled through the control system for the power unit, running at high-speed initial movement, it switches to high pressure lower speed to control the final pressing of materials. Painted to the customers required colour this is one of 4 pressure supplied by TMS.
Stainless Systems
Stainless systems are a speciality of TMS, using any required grade of stainless we can design power units and cylinders with incorporated valving in full stainless for any clean or corrosive environment from food to marine, pharmaceutical to sub-sea we can design the products best suited to your needs. Punch Rig Example
TMS designed and supplied the punching test rig pictured. Using hydraulic block cylinders to punch extruded aluminium frames, pneumatic cylinders acted as clamps for the component with the control system integrating electric and pneumatic control to cycle at high speed. The traversing punch fixtures can be moved along the slide to accommodate frames of varying size with interchanging dies and punches to allow high flexibility in product design to maximise the use of the machine.
